I have always loved elephants. And I have always loved olive, though not olives. After all, one word can hold more than one meaning: the color and the food, the hue and the taste. The idea to bring the two together was part homage to nature – to the things we should preserve – and part tribute to my favorite color.

Our Story

My grandparents are, in truth, the source of this vintage shop. Through them I learned how to care for delicate fabrics, how to cherish the garments that came before us and that, if treated kindly, shall live long after us. From them I inherited not only my love for vintage pieces, but also many of the actual items themselves.

I have always been drawn to wearing clothes that have already lived a life; pieces with stories I don’t know; fabrics and textures that have crossed paths with others before finding their way to me. The Olive Elephant is dedicated to my grandparents: to their care, their stories and their belief that things made with love deserve to be loved again.

Loved once, loved again.
